Education foundation halts fundraisers, launches fall giving campaign

Updated: Feb 1, 2021

MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Education Foundation has dispersed almost $1 million to town teachers since its founding, that has paid for a wide variety of educational projects and initiatives. With annual fundraisers cancelled this year due to the pandemic, the organization is launching a new fall giving campaign to support its endeavors.

“While this year may look different, we remain committed to raising the necessary funds to fulfill our mission to provide innovative and creative programs on behalf of our students, teachers, and community," organization President Jon Giberti said.

In average years, the foundation raises around $100,000 for teacher grants, which have funded everything from virtual reality headsets and snowshoes, to education subscriptions, book clubs and outdoor classrooms.
