APPLY FOR A GRANT

Who can apply?

Teachers, school administrators or other school staff may apply. Each grant application must be approved by the principal of the school where the proposed project would be implemented.

Who reviews the grants?

Initial review is by the Grant Committee, currently composed of five members, pursuant to objective review criteria as outlined in a detailed 2025-2026 assessment rubric. Final approval is made by the full Board of Directors of the Foundation.

How do I apply?

Please Note:

We have refined our grant application process to parallel the work you do in your educational environments a little closer for greater ease in participating in the grant’s process.

  1. Please use the Grant Directions as a support in completing your application.
They explain a little bit about how the process works, and gives some inspiration and tips & tricks for writing a winning grant.

  2. Go to the following Google Template of the 2025-2026 MEF Grant Application.

  3. Once there, click "USE TEMPLATE" in the top right corner.
This creates a Google Doc copy of the form.

  4. Fill out the form.

  5. Share the link to mefgrantcommittee@gmail.com.

How will applicants be notified and awards made?

Applicants will be notified in late April and the award ceremony will tentatively take place in early May.
