OUR IMPACT
For over 10 years, the Marshfield Educational Foundation has awarded grants to educators of the Marshfield Public School District to fund innovative projects developed by teachers. Grants impact every student in every school in the district. While the 2019-2020 grant cycle was the most successful to date with over $110,000 awarded to educators to further excellence in their classrooms, 2020-2021 looked different due to the pandemic. MEF was able to pivot, however, and move our fundraising online and give out over $30,000 in emergency mini grants to help teachers with new teaching challenges. With total grant funding to date of $923,000, we hope to reach $1 million in funding in 2022.
On average, after a thorough review process, fifteen individual grants are awarded each year. Grants impact every area of the curriculum with a particular emphasis on the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) disciplines and the Humanities. And the impact is lasting, over 77% of programs funded are still active five years later. Marshfield Education Foundation is proud of its significant impact on our community and grateful to our many donors who have made it possible.
