Innovation and creativity allow our students and teachers to be “better together”

For more than ten years, Marshfield Education Foundation has provided opportunities for enhanced learning by working in partnership with Marshfield’s educators to fund grants that complement the social, emotional and academic development of our students. Through the generous support of the Marshfield community, we have been able to support many innovative and creative programs in coding and robotics, reading and literacy, performing and visual arts, virtual reality and CAD design, physical fitness, and outdoor classrooms.

The past 18 months have been unprecedented and have left us with challenges in social emotional learning and instructional loss. They have also brought opportunities for diversity, equity and inclusion and enhanced STEM programming. Just as MEF pivoted last year and funded $30,000 in emergency COVID mini grants, our educators are responding to the needs of the students, reconfiguring their curriculum, and are energized to do the work needed to embrace the district’s message of “better together”.

To date, Marshfield Education Foundation has been able to raise funds to provide $923,000 for 172 grants. Our grants provide the much-needed additional resources for teachers, tools for students, and opportunities to engage with the world and each other in more meaningful ways. This year, these grants will be more important than ever for our students and our community. MEF’s goal for 2021-22 is to reach the milestone of $1 million in grants awarded.

Our hope is that you will join our Fall Giving Campaign with a donation. With your help, we can raise the necessary funds to be able to continue to fulfill our mission of providing innovative and creative programs that motivate and excite students and achieve excellence in teaching and learning. We remain extremely grateful for your involvement and appreciate your support of Marshfield Education Foundation on behalf of our students, our teachers and our community.
